7Fabs Intellectual Property & Customer Design Ownership

1. Customer-supplied designs

Where the Customer supplies a complete, ready-to-fabricate design (CAD file, STL, DXF, or equivalent), the Customer retains all intellectual property rights in that design. 7Fabs claims no ownership interest in a Customer's pre-existing design and uses it solely to perform the quoted work, per the File Upload / Customer-Supplied File Terms.

2. Designs created or modified by 7Fabs

Where 7Fabs performs CAD design, engineering, or design-cleanup work as part of the quoted scope (in whole or in part), ownership of the resulting design files is determined as follows unless the quote states otherwise:

• Work made for the Customer under a paid design scope: Upon full payment

for the design/CAD work, ownership of the new or modified design files created specifically for that project transfers to the Customer.

• 7Fabs internal tooling, jigs, fixtures, and process know-how: 7Fabs

retains ownership of any internal tooling, fixture designs, print-process parameters, or general know-how developed to produce the part, even where the resulting end-product design transfers to the Customer, unless the quote states the Customer is purchasing that tooling/fixture outright.

• Unpaid or in-progress work: Design files for work that has not been

paid for remain 7Fabs's property until payment is received in full for that design scope.

3. Physical parts

Ownership of a fabricated physical part transfers to the Customer upon full payment and pickup/shipment, subject to the Payment/Refund/Cancellation Policy and Pickup/Shipping/Damage Policy.

4. License to use for fulfillment

The Customer grants 7Fabs a limited, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and modify Customer-supplied designs solely as necessary to quote, fabricate, and support the specific project (including reprints/reorders of the same part at the Customer's request), unless the Customer revokes that license in writing.

5. No unauthorized reuse

7Fabs will not reproduce, sell, or reuse a Customer's design for any other customer or purpose without the Customer's written permission. This does not restrict 7Fabs's use of its own general know-how, non-Customer-specific process parameters, or publicly available design elements.

6. Portfolio and marketing use

Photos or descriptions of a completed project may be used for 7Fabs marketing/portfolio purposes only with the Customer's separate permission under the Photo/Portfolio Permission Release. This section does not itself grant portfolio rights.

7. Third-party and pre-existing IP

Nothing in this template grants either party rights in a third party's pre-existing intellectual property that may be embedded in a design (for example, a licensed component model). The Customer is responsible for ensuring it has the right to have such elements fabricated.

8. Indemnification
