Rapid prototyping

Rapid prototyping for Orlando and Central Florida.

Turn an idea, sketch, sample, or CAD file into a prototype with a clear purpose. We help you choose what to build and what to learn from it before committing to the next stage.

Our Apopka shop handles one-off and low-volume projects. We confirm the process, materials, and timing when reviewing your quote.

What does your prototype need to prove?

A presentation model, a fit check, and a working part can need different materials and processes. Tell us how you will use the prototype so we can focus the build on the questions that matter.

  • Concept and presentation models: explore shape, scale, appearance, and how someone will handle the design.
  • Fit and assembly checks: review how an enclosure, bracket, fixture, or replacement component fits with surrounding parts.
  • Functional prototypes: identify the loads, movement, environment, or other conditions the part needs to handle.
  • Pre-production builds: review the design and manufacturing approach before a pilot run or repeat order.

Choose a process around the part

3D printing can suit concept models, enclosures, and functional parts. Cut, machined, formed, or welded components may call for metal fabrication. We review the geometry, intended use, quantity, and material needs before recommending a path.

If your design is still an idea or a physical sample, design support can help define the CAD model or drawing needed for the build. A prototype's material or finish may differ from the eventual production part; we explain those choices before quoting.

What to send for a prototype quote

You do not need finished CAD to start. Share a sketch, photo, sample, existing model, or description, along with:

  • What you need to learn or demonstrate.
  • Overall size, mating parts, and critical dimensions.
  • Material, appearance, and performance requirements.
  • Quantity, current revision, and desired date.

STEP, STL, DXF, and PDF files can provide different kinds of information. Our file guide explains what to include.

Review, build, and refine

We review the available information, identify open questions, and confirm the proposed material, process, scope, and timing in a quote. Uploading a file starts that review. Work proceeds after you approve the quote.

After reviewing the prototype, tell us what should change and supply the latest revision for the next build. When the design is ready, we can discuss a pilot run or short run. We carry the reviewed design and requirements forward so the next order starts from the right information.
