3D scanning and reverse engineering

3D scanning and reverse engineering for Orlando.

Have a physical part but no usable CAD? Our Apopka shop serves Orlando and Central Florida with geometry capture and CAD reconstruction for replacement parts, design changes, and manufacturing documentation.

Our Apopka shop handles one-off and low-volume projects. We confirm the process, materials, and timing when reviewing your quote.

Best fit scenarios

  • Legacy parts without source CAD
  • Worn or damaged parts needing a replacement design
  • Obsolete hardware rebuilds
  • Fit-sensitive interface checks
  • Pre-production inspection baselines
  • Cross-checks for existing fixtures

What we validate

  • Critical dimensions and datum consistency
  • Join surfaces and interface clearances
  • Structural areas requiring tolerance confidence
  • Surface treatment and finish assumptions
  • Version and revision traceability
  • Manufacturing implications after conversion

From physical part to useful CAD

A scan captures the part you bring us, including wear or damage. Tell us which features should stay the same and which need to be repaired or redesigned. Mating parts, older drawings, and photographs can help explain the intended fit.

We review the geometry and critical features before scoping a reconstruction. The useful deliverable depends on the next step: a reference model, a manufacturing model, or a drawing with the dimensions needed to make a replacement.

Scanning and CAD work are available in Apopka. We agree the critical dimensions, reconstruction scope, and any required inspection documentation before starting.

Plan the replacement, not just the scan

Include the part's size, material if known, intended use, damaged areas, mating surfaces, quantity, and desired date. Explain whether you need to reproduce the current shape or improve it. Arrange a shop visit or part drop-off before bringing the sample.

Once the design is reviewed, the next step may be 3D printing, machining or fabrication, or further design support. Each build is quoted against the agreed model and requirements.
