7Fabs Quote Terms & Conditions
1. Purpose
These Quote Terms & Conditions ("Quote Terms") govern every quote, estimate, and order 7Fabs issues for fabrication, 3D printing, CAD/design, or related services. They apply automatically to every accepted quote unless a separate signed agreement expressly overrides them.
2. How a quote becomes a binding order
A quote is not a binding order until the Customer affirmatively approves it (in the customer portal, by reply email, or by other written confirmation 7Fabs accepts as approval) and, where a deposit is required, the deposit is paid through Stripe. Acceptance of a quote is logged as a 7Fabs Terms Acceptance record referencing this template's version and the specific quote ID.
3. Quote basis and assumptions
Quotes are prepared from the information, files, and specifications the Customer provides at the time of the quote (including any LLM-assisted draft estimate, which is always reviewed and approved by a human before being sent). Quotes assume: (a) uploaded files are print/fabrication-ready or that any required design/cleanup work is separately scoped and quoted; (b) quantities, materials, and finish are as stated; (c) standard lead times unless rush service is separately quoted. Material, quantity, design, or scope changes after quote approval may require a revised quote and adjusted price/lead time (a change order).
4. Prototype and first-article nature of work
Unless the quote explicitly states otherwise, work performed under a quote is prototype/first-article in nature. Dimensional tolerance, surface finish, and cosmetic appearance are governed by the Prototype Tolerance/Appearance Disclaimer, which is incorporated by reference into every quote.
5. Pricing, deposits, and payment
Pricing, deposit requirements, and payment timing are governed by the Payment/Refund/Cancellation Policy. All payments are processed through Stripe. Quoted prices are valid for Details pending professional review. from the quote date unless otherwise stated.
6. File uploads and revisions
Files submitted with a quote request or during production are governed by the File Upload / Customer-Supplied File Terms. Uploading a revised file after quote approval may trigger a change order per Section 3.
7. Intellectual property in quoted work
Ownership of the resulting design and part is governed by the IP & Customer Design Ownership template.
8. Lead time and delays
Lead times stated in a quote are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by material availability, design revisions, approval delays, or third-party supplier timing (including overseas suppliers). 7Fabs will communicate known delays through the portal or email.
9. Cancellation
Cancellation rights and any restocking/design-time charges are governed by the Payment/Refund/Cancellation Policy.
10. Pickup, shipping, and delivery
Pickup and shipping terms, including risk of loss and damage-claim handling, are governed by the Pickup/Shipping/Damage Policy.
11. Disputes
Payment disputes and chargebacks are governed by the Chargeback/Dispute Language template. The Customer agrees that approving a quote and paying a deposit/final invoice through Stripe constitutes authorization of that specific charge for the scope described in the quote.
12. Governing law
These Quote Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. See the Terms of Use for venue and dispute-resolution provisions.
Interim review copy — not effective. This page is informational and cannot authorize a quote, payment, file, publication, or customer send.
